We have little information on the Columbia diving scene. It is likely that what dive sites are here will be in fair to good condition. The Spanish Main ran across the coast of modern day Colombia and will undoubtly have some wrecks and dive sites worth a look.
Baranquilla is reputed to have some rowdy and raunchy nightlife and may be a good place to dive from along with Cartagena and Santa Marta.
It is likely that the dive sites will be fairy busy.
Colombia is the home of no diving organisations that we know of.
Colombia is a large country that see's equatorial weather throughout it's country. In the north the coastal cities are cooled somewhat by the caribbean winds
The trend for diving in Colombia will likely be in groups based on a resort-based-system. For foreigners this is likely to make diving easier and more flexible for their stay in S. America.
Hyperbaric Chambers are available in the event of an emergency. As yet we do not have further details.
