Diving in the Falkands
Diving in the Falkland Islands is very much frontier diving, few sources of information are available to us at Diving Lore and the dive sites are as yet unnamed. Being so far from civilisation this could be considered a diving outpost, there are no towns, only settlements. Port Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands has grown somewhat since 1982.
The armed forces have a strong presence in the Falklands and it is regarded as a deterrant against further attacks.
Hyperbaric Chambers are NOT available in the event of an emergency. Dive safely and avoid taking risks that may result in a fast ascent.
