Lake Erie

Lake Erie has plenty of Dive Sites, typically they are made up of steel and metal shipwrecks, but some old wooden ones still lurk, waiting to be found. The Lake is typically quiet shallow, the average depth being about 20m / 65 ft. It's deepest point is off Long Point where it reaches about 64m / 210 ft.

There are 3 main areas of diving in Lake Erie: Western, Central, and Eastern.

Diving tends to be shallower in the Western parts of Lake Erie and deeper in the East. Visibility in the west is poorer and more polluted due to the industrialised/urbanised areas nearby.
