The Good

The Internet (Two terminals) is located in a separate room from the lounge which is quiet and provides solitude. The connection is good runs at DSL speed.
The galley is quite large and the food is pleasant, well prepared and cooked.
A large TV is located in the recreational non-smoking lounge. The smokers lounge has a big screen TV. A pool table is in both lounges. Tea and coffee machines along with cold drinks are available here.
A well equipped gym.
The accommodation is 2 person bunks with an attached washing / shower area that is shared with the ajoining bunk. The rooms are large, spacious and comfortable. A TV / DVD player is also installed along with a telephone.

The Bad

The Bond doesn't sell any duty free goods.

Work Area Welfare - Insufficient data, believed to be average. No smoking or rest areas outside the accm. module. Shells' Work procedures and Health and Safety plan is strictly adhered, even more so than is required, many workers state that having such and over-zealous policy is controversial.

Overview - Named after the soaring sea bird the Fulmer is located in the Central North Sea Zone, this oil and gas platform is within sight of one or two other platforms (which include the AUK Platform) The Fulmar field was discovered in December 1975 and the platform began extracting oil and gas in 1982. Gas is piped directly to the onshore gas terminal at St Fergus and oil is piped to Teeside. One of the larger platforms in the North Sea the jacket and topside assembly weigh in at a staggering 35000 tonnes.

The oil giant 'Shell' is the owner and operator of this platform. The primary contracting company that provides personnel for the oil platform is/was Sea Drill.
