Platform Size - Medium. Platform Location - North Sea (Approx 130 miles ENE of Aberdeen) Condition - Weathered. Hydrocarbon Output - Not known. Offshore Welfare facilities - The Good The Internet (Four terminals) is located in the galley and the non-smokers lounge. The connection is good but can run a little slower than DSL speed. The Bad One of the two duty medics that are based here is considerably unfriendly despite his self proclaimed slogan of 'Being the caring face of the North Sea.' Work Area Welfare - The current OIM has a liberal welfare policy and he has currently unlocked all production area telephones for personal phone calls! The cleaning regime in the locker room is zealously stuck to and as a result access to the locker room (where the toilets and smokers room is also) can be restricted as the stewards chain off the doorways! Platform Emergency Drills - Evident and carried out weekly (usually on the week-end). The platform also carries out lifeboat awareness training. Overview - Located in the North Sea this oil platform is within sight of one or two other platforms (which include the AUK Platform) The platform was constructed in the late 1970s. As at the end of 2006 a major overhaul of the accommodation modules facilities was in progress, this should eventually address the shortcomings of some of the welfare facilities mentioned. The oil company 'Talisman Energy' is the owner and operator of this platform. The primary contracting company that provides personnel for the oil platform is Petrofac. OPR Rating - 6.0 / 10.
